TWO SIMILAR PRODUCTS - ONE SUBSTRATE
Two primary single-sheet products have emerged in the marketplace, each with different finishing requirements, but that both use the same substrate.
CBS Outdoor and Clear Channel Outdoor have adopted the Cable Clip system. Posters for this system are known as "Eco Posters" and are printed on seamless woven polyethylene. After printing the posters are finished by welding a special two-layer double pocket around the perimeter and cutting slits or notches in the double pocket at specified locations. This process is extremely complex and requires production expertise that BPgraphics has acquired. The posters are then folded, boxed and shipped to the outdoor company for posting.
Clear Channel Outdoor has implemented a certification process for manufacturers of these posters - BPgraphics has passed this certification and is approved to ship posters to Clear Channel Outdoor markets. CBS Outdoor does not have a certification process but requires that the posters be finished to the published specifications.
Lamar Outdoor has chosen a 3" pole pocket finishing system and posters for their markets are known as "PosterFlex". These are finished in a similar fashion to traditional outdoor bulletins. Lamar Outdoor does not require certification prior to sending posters to their markets.
Other regional outdoor media vendors are in the process of choosing and adopting single-sheet poster systems. As those changes take place we'll update our website with more information.
Prior to beginning production on an order we must know which markets the posters are shipping to so that we know how to finish them - either as Eco Posters or PosterFlex.
